D+ specializes in the kind of backwoods intellectual heartfelt rockin' guitar rhythm and ballad that is homegrown in the Northwest. Founded by Bret Lunsford of Beat Happening when he moved back to his hometown of Anacortes, Wash., in the late '80s. It has had a floating membership that has included various Anacortes luminaries including Karl Blau and Phil Elverum (pictured).
